Access and correction to your personal and credit information
We will provide you with access to the personal information wehold about you on your request. We may charge a fee for our costs of retrievingand supplying the information to you.
Where possible, we’ll respond to your request immediately, butwe’ll usually respond within seven days. We may need to contact other entities toproperly investigate and complete your request.
There may be situations where we are not required to provideyou with access to your personal information for example, if the information relatesto existing or anticipated legal proceedings, if your request is vexatious or ifthe information is commercially sensitive. If we deny you access to the personalinformation we hold about you, we’ll explain why.
If any of the personal information we hold about you is incorrect,inaccurate or out of date you may request that we correct the information by writingto us at help@nano.com.au. If appropriate,we will correct the personal information at the time of the request. Otherwise,we’ll provide an initial response within seven days of receiving your request. Wherereasonable, and after our investigation, we’ll let you know whether we have correctedthe personal or credit-related information within 30 days. If we refuse to correctpersonal or credit-related information, we’ll explain why.
Can we do business without identifying you?
In most circumstances, it will be necessary for us to identifyyou to successfully do business with you. However, where it is lawful and practicableto do so, we’ll offer you the opportunity of doing business with us without providingpersonal information.
What is sensitive information?
We will not collect sensitive information about you. Sensitiveinformation includes information relating to your racial or ethnic origin, politicalpersuasion, memberships in trade, professional associations or trade unions, sexualpreferences, criminal record, or health.
How safe and secure is your personal information that we hold?
We’ll take a range of measures and reasonable steps to protectyour personal information. It will always be stored in a secure environment in electronicform. We will also take reasonable steps to protect any personal information frommisuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with how we have dealt with your personalinformation, or you have a complaint about our compliance with the Privacy Act,you may contact our complaints officer by writing to us at help@nano.com.au.
We will acknowledge your complaint within seven days and aimto resolve the complaint as quickly as possible. We will provide you with a decisionwithin 30 days.
If you are dissatisfied with the response of our complaints officer,you may make a complaint to the Privacy Commissioner which can be contacted at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
